Alpha Xi Delta Closes Chapter at University at Albany, SUNY

Indianapolis, IN – The National Council of Alpha Xi Delta has voted to withdraw the charter of its Theta Kappa Chapter at University at Albany, SUNY, effective April 16, 2019.

“The decision to close our chapter at University at Albany, SUNY was not made lightly,” said Alpha Xi Delta National President Micaela Isler. "Unfortunately, Theta Kappa Chapter members did not uphold Alpha Xi Delta’s values and our membership expectations.”

The Theta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was founded in 1992 and has initiated more than 400 women.

Founded in 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois, Alpha Xi Delta inspires women to realize their potential by providing opportunities for Sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service.
