Peyton's Story

Greek life was something I had always wanted to do since I was in high school, but I didn't think I would ever be accepted during rush. I finally decided to go to recruitment events last fall, during my Senior year of college. I fell in love with the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta at UNCA. Once I realized that their philanthropy was Autism Speaks, I knew that this is where I was meant to be. My six year old sister is autistic and means the world to me, much like my new sisters would mean to me once I got my bid.

I never realized that at the recruitment events I would meet some Sisters that I call my best friends. My Sisters welcomed me with open arms and were there for me whenever I needed them the most. My only regret with joining is that I didn't do it earlier, but I know that my Sisters will always be there for me, as I will be there for them. To the sisters at UNCA, thank you for welcoming me and I am forever grateful to have Alpha Xi Delta in my life. TFJ
