Leading up to Founders’ Day of Giving, we went on a virtual road trip across the country to visit places that hold significance Alpha Xi Delta’s history. We stopped across different spots and shared the history on our social media channels. Hover and/or click your mouse on the Facebook posts below to learn more about our road trip stops!
“I’m the mother of an Alpha Xi Delta member, a member who was a shy eighteen year old when she went to college. I never expected her to go through recruitment. Then we got the phone call that she had received a bid from Alpha Xi Delta. She was so excited!
Soon there were expenses associated with the sorority – dues and t-shirts among other things. As parents we did not contribute to the Foundation.
Before we knew it, our daughter graduated. We discovered that she had applied for, and received an Alpha Xi Delta Scholarship to assist in her graduate school education. Plus, she had volunteered to mentor other Sisters and chapters. Soon she was employed in a real life job, speaking in front of hundreds of people, confident, no longer shy, poised and reaching out to help others. Her Alpha Xi Delta experience enabled her to bloom.

All of this was the result of the education and experiences provided by Alpha Xi Delta and their Foundation.
Our donations were small to start with. We now celebrate all opportunities the Foundation provides for all Sisters and alumnae, not only scholarships, but community outreach, honoring commitments, servant leadership, friendships, and scholarship.
I urge you to support the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation as a way to honor your daughters and their futures as educators, veterinarians, scientists, ambassadors, writers, musicians, or wherever life takes them. They will always have their Alpha Xi Delta Sisters.” – Marcia Duffy, Alpha Deuteron
