Letters of Love Kicks off November 1

Letters of Love is Alpha Xi Delta’s annual national fundraising and awareness campaign, held each November, that supports children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. It is a digital letter-writing campaign where members write heartfelt letters and share personal stories to raise awareness and funds for two key impact organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids.

How do FosterClub and StandUp for Kids Help?

FosterClub is the national network for young people in foster care. They provide direct support to young people in foster care, and they work to change the child welfare system for the better. Learn more at fosterclub.org.

StandUp for Kids serves unaccompanied homeless and at-risk youth – and young parents with children of their own – up to their 25th birthday. Their ongoing mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness through four core direct service programs: Street Outreach, Outreach Centers, Mentoring, and Housing. Ways To Participate:

Give a General Donation: Your donation will be recorded as a general contribution to the national campaign.
Donate to a Team: To support your chapter or a specific team, find and donate to their team’s fundraising page to help them meet their goal.
Donate to a Participant: Support a specific chapter member, friend, or family member by donating to their personal fundraising page.
Join A Chapter’s Team: Support your chapter, friend, or family member by joining their team and fundraising for Letters of Love with them!

To Make a Tax-Deductible Donation:

Please write your check or checks individually payable to “FosterClub” or “StandUp for Kids.”
Find a chapter’s page you’d like to support here.
Find an individual’s page you’d like to support here.
Write “Letters of Love: Chapter Name” or “Letters of Love: Chapter Name, Individual Name” in the memo line.
Mail checks to the address on the chapter or individual’s fundraising page, postmarked by December 31, to ensure your contribution is credited to this year’s campaign.
