Alpha Xi Delta Wins Excellence In Educational Programming Award

Published: December 05, 2018

Indianapolis, IN – Alpha Xi Delta won the Excellence in Educational Programming Award for The Founders’ Academy, presented by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) during its annual meeting on December 1, 2018.

The Excellence in Educational Programming Award recognizes new and innovative programs that result in learning or education. Three awards are presented for educational programming efforts: one to a fraternal organization for efforts directed to undergraduate or alumni members, one to an affiliate or vendor member organization for educational efforts, and one for a campus-based program for new and innovative educational efforts.

The Founders’ Academy (TFA) is Alpha Xi Delta’s premier summer educational opportunity for Chapter Presidents and emerging leaders that focuses on the development and application of CliftonStrengths assessment principles for individual and organizational leadership. TFA participants are challenged to use their individual strengths to honor Alpha Xi Delta’s Ritual, heritage, and Founders while leading their chapter to success. In a survey of TFA participants, 99% agreed the program was a worthwhile investment in their leadership development.

“TFA has had such a strong impact on me and how I see myself as a leader. Cultivating leaders is such an important and essential thing for AXiD to do when considering the integrity of her chapters and organization,” said Lindsay Perkins, Illinois ’14, a past attendee of The Founders’ Academy.
