Indianapolis, IN – Alpha Xi Delta is excited to announce an agreement has been reached with Wittenberg University to lease an on-campus property at 455 Woodlawn Avenue in Springfield, Ohio. Alpha Xi Delta members will have the opportunity to move into the house in the fall of 2017.

“Alpha Xi Delta is excited to secure a chapter house for our Sisters at Wittenberg University,” said Michele Evink, Alpha Xi Delta’s National President. “Our National Housing Corporation is energized to transform the property into a home away from home for the Sisters of our historic Zeta Chapter.”

Even though Alpha Xi Delta has entered into a leasing agreement with the University and will occupy the residence this fall, the Alpha Xi Delta National Housing Corporation is still working diligently to identify and secure a permanent home for the chapter.

Alpha Xi Delta first installed its Zeta Chapter at Wittenberg University in 1904 and was the first national Greek organization on campus. The chapter had been dormant since 1992 and was reestablished in 2016.

Founded in 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois, Alpha Xi Delta is one of the oldest women's fraternal organizations in the United States.
