Invite your family and friends to join you at CRAVE Galleria's Sunday Brunch for an autism awareness and fundraising event supporting Autism Speaks!
Enjoy a delicious brunch while learning about autism spectrum disorders, the mission of Autism Speaks and MSPAA's role in the Minnesota Walk Now for Autism Speaks event held every fall. Guests will have the opportunity to register for MSPAA's 2012 Walk team and get tips on fundraising. This event will also kickoff our week-long "Dining for Donations" fundraiser with CRAVE Galleria (March 25-April 1). 10% of guests' bills will be donated directly to our walk team! (To participate in the fundraiser the rest of the week, simply print out and present our flyer - available soon - to your server).
With April right around the corner, we will be providing ideas on how to Light It Up Blue for World Autism Awareness Day (April 2) and Autism Awareness Month (April). Last but not least, we will be putting together sensory kits to donate to the Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic at the University of Minnesota. Small donations (3-5 items) of sensory toys are needed for these kits. Bouncy balls, stress balls, koosh balls, silly putty, flarp noise putty, play-dough, rain sticks, bean bags, pin art toys, bead necklaces, water worms, slinky feathers, feather duster, self-held fans, hot wheels and toys and stuffed animals that vibrated are a few items that could be donated.
Check your own house for these items or visit a dollar store to purchase these inexpensive items! Please let us know if you have a donation for the sensory kits in your RSVP (even if you are unable to attend). Contact Makenzie Provorse at mprovors@live.com or 402.707.7422 for more information.
We hope to see you there! Autism Speaks...MSPAA is listnening!
