Apply for a Foundation Scholarship


 

Academic scholarships are awarded annually to Alpha Xi Delta members in good standing and attending school full-time according to an institutional transcript.

Who can apply?
Most scholarships are available to all applicants. Some do have restrictions or preferences as requested by donors.

General scholarships are available for:

  • Collegiate members regardless of chapter or field of study.
  • Alumnae members in a graduate program, regardless of chapter or field of study.

How and when to apply?
If you are an undergraduate member in the 2012-2013 academic year, you should use the Undergraduate Scholarship Application. If you are a graduate student in the 2012-2013 academic year or an alumna member returning to school, you should use the Alumna Scholarship Application.

The scholarship committee will evaluate your application based on academic performance, chapter and community involvement, need and letters of recommendation. All candidates are evaluated equally. Applicants will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Please do not stipulate a specific scholarship. Please note the specific criteria for those scholarships that are available only to specific members or chapters. In some years, certain scholarships may not be awarded.

Scholarship applications are due to the Foundation office by March 15, 2013. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. Applicants are notified in June. For more information about Alpha Xi Delta Foundation scholarships, contact Claressa Basile at cbasile@alphaxidelta.org.
